Scanning FAQ
Your hardcopy can be either 1-sided or 2-sided, and should be as clean and clear as you can
make it.
Are there scanning issues of which I should be aware ?
Understand the following when submitting your hardcopy for scanning:
- The scan of your hardcopy will always be of slightly lower quality than your original.
- Scanning will not be able to improve the document beyond the quality of the original.
- Reduction in text quality will be difficult to notice.
- Reduction in image quality depends on the complexity of the original images, the more
complex the image, the more the difference in quality will be noticable.
- Scanning may also darken black and white images, and lose some of the richness in color images.
Can you remove marks on my original hardcopy during the scanning process ?
Yes, we can remove marks on the original hardcopy, but the time and cost of this depends
greatly on the extent of the marking.
